WARRANTY

DINGOBOX provides the following limited warranty to the original purchaser subject to the terms and conditions stated herein. The guarantee that comes with our goods is bound by Australian Consumer Law. Which states where a major failure caused by faulty materials and/or workmanship occurs within the specified warranty period, the original purchaser is entitled to a replacement or refund. Further, if the goods are of unacceptable quality and does not cause a major failure, the purchaser is entitled to a repair or replacement of the goods.

Claim Conditions
This limited warranty exclusively covers our Slim Lithium Battery DB-SL105 and DB-SL105B, the batteries must be used in the application for which they were intended, and were properly sized, installed, and maintained in a satisfactory manner determined by us. DINGOBOX reserves the right to request photo and/or video evidence of installation and/or failure. DINGOBOX reserves the right to dismiss or refuse a warranty claim if photo or video evidence is not provided as proof of correct installation determined by us.

Installation of the batteries MUST be performed by qualified technicians and in accordance with proven acceptable practices or the warranty may be voided.

All Anderson plug connections into DB-SL105 and DB-SL105B MUST use Genuine Anderson Connectors or the warranty may be voided.

Electrical voltage and current must not exceed the rated capacity of the individual connector as follows; Accessory socket 10Amperes, USB-3 0.9Amperes, 50A Anderson plug  50Amperes, 120A Anderson plug 120Amperes. Warranty may be void if proven to exceed the rated capacity of any connection.

Correct vertical wall installation of the batteries is with the Anderson plugs at the top-most point, leaving the accessory socket at the bottom-most point. Other acceptable installation orientations include flat on floor/base with LCD display upright. Warranty may be void if failure and/or damage occurs from incorrect installation.

The purchaser MUST not attempt to disassemble or repair any faults/damage incurred. If it is determined that disassembly or repairs has occurred in the purchasers possession warranty may be void.

Proof of purchase and return of goods in question must accompany any request for a warranty.

The purchaser must contact DINGOBOX prior to the return of goods. 

Return address and shipping details will be provided upon acceptance of a genuine warranty claim.

All lithium batteries are Class 9 Dangerous Goods and must be shipped accordingly.

Limited Warranty Periods

Use of the term limited warranty refers to our 3 year warranty period and the limited inclusions within that period. Some components within the battery may have more or less period cover stated below.

The following limited warranty periods exclusively cover original battery components and are as follows:​

Steel Enclosure - 36 months

Lithium Battery Cells - 36 months

BMS (Battery Management System) - 36 months

Wiring, connections, sensors, modules, terminals and plugs between cells and BMS - 36 months

Anderson plug all sizes - 12 months

Accessory sockets and USB sockets all sizes - 12 months

LCD Display - 12 months

Although we pride ourselves on quality and durable batteries and battery components, due to the nature of exposure to the elements, various environmental conditions, the components integrated on the face of the DINGOBOX DBSL105 and DB-SL105B are limited to 12 month warranty.

Warranty Exclusions
DINGOBOX has no obligation under this Limited Warranty for goods subject to the following conditions (including but not limited to):

  • Exceeding the warranty period.

  • Damage caused during shipping or mishandling of goods.

  • Damage due to improper installation; loose terminal connections, non-genuine Anderson plug use, under-sized cabling, incorrect connections (parallel) for any desired AH requirements, reverse polarity connections or insufficient space for airflow, or unauthorized disassembly or repair etc.

  • Environmental damage such as inappropriate storage or installation conditions as defined by us, under bonnet conditions, exposure to excess heat, fire or freezing, water damage, salt air exposure, impact, penetration or collision.

  • Damage caused during operation; by collision or over-discharging the Product as defined by us.

  • Damage due to improper maintenance; lack of cleaning resulting in corroded terminal connections or build-up of dirt, debris, organic matter, fossil fuels or chemicals on the product casing and/or connections.

  • Product that has been opened, modified, repaired or tampered with.

  • Tampering or removal of manufacture date codes and serial numbers etc.

  • Product that was used for applications other than which it was designed and intended for.

  • Product that was under-sized for the application.

  • Product that was used to start or jump-start.

  • Warranty replacement or repair will only occur after goods are returned to base, tested, analysed, and battery damage/failure is deemed to be a genuine claim.

  • DINGOBOX will deal with the faulty/damaged battery during the warranty period, and any amount of time required to do so must be allowed for.

  • DINGOBOX is not responsible for and will not be bound by any additional warranties or guarantees provided by resellers and does not authorize any other person to make or assume any obligation or liability in regards to any of the batteries.

  • DINGOBOX will not have any liability for any damage caused by natural disasters, vehicle collisions, damage caused by road corrogation, offroad accidents, single-vehicle accidents or the consequential damages.
